The Da Vinci Code

I just started reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown last night. I only got through the first 50 pages or so, but I'm pretty impressed. The book starts off at a fast pace that instantly draws you in. Further reviews to follow...

Today's Moment of Zen

Not many of you will get this, but that's OK.

How much of a nerd are YOU?

I am nerdier than 40% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

Today's Moment of Zen

This moment is blatantly stolen from Dwain's blog, but it was too good to pass up.

So apparently, lawnmowers can fly now. So if you need to trim the grass growing on your roof or wherever, look these guys up! The only thing that doesn't fit is the music. A video like this should have Flight of the Valkyries blaring.

Look, up in the sky! It's a... lawnmower?!

Interesting Article

Ok, so apparently a little black box can see into the future. An interesting article concerning Collective Unconscious. Not sure how credible it is, but a worthwhile read nonetheless.

So...so sad

This is just unfortunate.

Order pizza while playing Everquest.

Advice for the ladies.

Found this online, and since I like to blog anything I find even remotely funny, here is som advice for the ladies:

Ladies, if you're a whale and you'd like to show off a bit more creativity online than just typing "I'm fat," here are some other options:

Misspell "voluptuous" by adding an 'm' before the 'p'

Fail to note the 's' in the word "curves" which implies plurality, and not a single, ear to ankle outward bend

Offer to get on webcam to show your tattoo of Canada

Complain about your mumu chafing

Constantly read sexual innuendo into every exchange in a world-weary tone of disapproval

Have a lot of attitude

Be creative with your Away Messages, such as:

-Away From My Chairs

-Thought I Heard the Ice Cream Truck

-Trying to Lure the Cat With Some Bacon on a String but He's Still Not Falling for it

-Head Stuck in Mallomar Bag Again

Sweet jesus!

Props to Todd's wife on this one. The worst part of the whole article is this:

As in the case of a girl who died after similar surgery in the Dominican Republic a year ago, the second twin had developed no body. The head that was removed from Manar had been capable of smiling and blinking but not independent life, doctors said.

Today's Moment of Zen

Today's moment of Zen is brought to you by my own weekend. So as everyone knows, I play video games. I was online on Sunday playing World of Warcraft, and chatting with some people I know on there.

So all of a sudden a member of my guild (geek factor rising, I know) says to me:

'r u chick, bcz you capatize first letr of first wrd'

No kidding. That is an exact quote. I shit you not. I honestly think that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I didn't even know how to respond to it! Are kids so damn stupid these days?

Band of the Moment

Silvertide - They remind me a lot of the Black Crowes, with maybe a little bit of Buckcherry thrown in.

On a related note, does anyone know what happened to the band Sponge? I haven't heard anything about them for a good while...
